INSET days and school holidays 2021-22
Schools allocate 5 extra days for INSET training. If convenient, we try to link with the Infant School for dates to alleviate childcare, but this isn't always possible because of different needs and requirements for training within each school.
The standard Hampshire School calendar can be accessed via the link below:
In 2021-22 the Junior & Infant INSET days coincide and fall on the following dates. Due to the exceptional circumstances, these may be subject to unexpected late change, but we have commitments for training on the days so we hope there will be no changes during the year:
Monday 1st November 2021 - First Aid training
Friday 26th November - Safeguarding and P4C training for staff
Monday 29th November - Gymnastics training and P4C
Monday 28th February 2022
Thursday 21st July 2022
Please note that school holidays do not necessarily match those of our link secondary school, Mountbatten. Please check their website for information.
INSET days for academic year 2022-23
The first day of autumn term 2022 is Thursday 1st September
Our planned INSET days for the year starting in September 2022 are:
Monday 31st October
Friday 25th November
Monday 28th November

There may be a need to change these if something unexpected occurs. Please check with other neighbouring schools as INSET days are chosen by schools to meet their individual needs.

Here are photographs of our uniform:
Our main colour theme is bottle green and all items of uniform (except sweatshirt/cardigan with a logo) are available from major retail outlets as part of their generic offering. The sweatshirt/cardigan with logo is particularly useful for identifying our children when away from school e.g. on school trips.
Grey or black school trousers or tailored school shorts
Grey or black school skirts - green checked summer dress
Sweatshirts or cardigans with the school logo (available from Skoolkit)
White polo (with or without logo) or white collared shirts/blouses
Sensible all-black school shoes
Each child is allocated to a house and should have a sports t-shirt in the appropriate colour (red/sky blue/green/yellow - available from Skoolkit with a logo). Plain t-shirts are acceptable but not with other branding.
Black shorts for indoor gym and outdoors or jogging bottoms for outdoor sport when the weather is cold.
Appropriate footwear for the type of activity (trainers/boots for outdoors, indoor PE is done bare-foot)
(Shinpads & football boots are a requirement when playing in area tournaments - we do have limited loan equipment)
