Stone Farm 2021 Blog - September Week 1:
Final stop at West Bay for lunch, a play in the park and fresh air. We're now back on the road; the office have sent a parent mail with estimated time of arrival.
A final goodbye! What a brilliant week we've had at Stone Farm: beautiful weather, action packed days, hearty food and great company! All the children are looking forward to telling you all about their adventures when they're home. After a pancake breakfast and last cuddles with the animals, we are now on the road home. Please check your emails as we will be updating you via Parentmail this afternoon about arrival time.
Barn dancing fun! We've had such a great last evening at the barn dance. It was brilliant to see everyone taking part, smiling and laughing. What a perfect way to spend our final evening!
Free time on the farm 🐷🐔🐤🐇
A brilliant afternoon kayaking and raft building at Roadford Lake. We were so lucky with the weather- beautiful sunshine all afternoon!
A beautiful walk up to Brentor Church this morning.
Early morning farm duties!
When we arrived home today, we were greeted by 2 new additions to the farm: baby chicks! We then had a lovely evening of hearty food and owl sketching🦉
A trip to Plymouth Aquarium. We've had a great afternoon at the aquarium, seeing turtles, sharks, jelly fish, puffer fish, eels and many more. All the staff were so impressed with the children's curiosity and enthusiasm. We ended our trip with ice creams in the sun overlooking the beautiful views of Plymouth Hoe. More photos to follow later.
Lunch at Smeaton's Tower. The sun is shining, the sea is sparkling and we're enjoying the views whilst eating lunch.
Runaway pigs 🐖
This morning the pigs wanted to join in all the fun, so they escaped their pen. After a pig chase and with the lure of food, we managed to persuade them to return home.
