The five run series for 2018-19 ended this week.
In some areas we did very well, others we continue to need to work on - but we are not alone as a school!
The Year 3/4 girls team came third overall and the boys came 2nd in the cluster. In year 5/6 the boys again came second, but the girls did not place as we didn't have enough runners placed to count as a team. This was also the case for 6 other schools, in fact only two schools could raise an upper school girls' team.
We had three runners in the top 15 for the year 3/4 girls (including the number one position); 8 in the top 30 for the year 3/4 boys; 4 in the top 20 year 5/6 boys and one in the top 15 year 5/6 girls.
The listing shows several placed pupils in the year 1/2 boys and girls coming from the infant school, so hopefully we can really build on the lower school success. As our year 4 girls move up into year 5 next season, we hope to be able to encourage enough runners to build on the year 4 success and create a new nucleus for the upper school.
