Fishbourne Roman Palace

To enrich our History learning in the Autumn term, Year 4 embarked on an exciting trip to Fishbourne Roman Palace. Throughout the day we explored lots of interesting artifacts and learnt lots of amazing facts! We watched an introductory film about the palace before exploring the site. We followed our activity booklets around the grounds learning about different plants the Romans grew and their uses. We completed a bingo activity when we looked at the mosaics - even finding a real skeleton! We also took part in a wonderful workshop where we got to: dress up, role play in a Roman kitchen, write on tablets, create our own mosaics and spin thread!
